I wrote the song "Crow" because I needed a witness. Someone who wouldn't flinch. Someone who could hold the heavy parts without looking away.
The line "Crow remembers. Crow stays near. Crow doesn't flinch when the grief gets clear" came from that place. I had spent so long trying to carry things alone—trying to be quiet, trying to be small, trying to pretend the hard parts didn't exist. The crow became the part of me that refused to forget. The part that stayed present. The part that saw everything and didn't run.
Crows hold funerals for their dead. They gather. They don't look away. I wanted that for myself — someone to stand with me while I grieved, while I screamed, while I learned to stop running from the hard parts.
Louise Hay taught that we've been bullying ourselves for years, and that maybe we could try being kind instead. But I couldn't get there right away. I had to feel the anger first. I had to learn to look without flinching before I could speak. The crow was there for all of it.
This sticker is a small reminder that you don't have to carry everything alone. Something is keeping watch. Something remembers. Something stays near.
