ANYMALS
Album Coming Soon..
(Scroll down to read the lyrics and listen to sneak peeks. The album is still being written, but I wanted to share the journey.)
4 spirit animals I have always been drawn to. I like the less common, underdog animals. I was drawn to these.
I am writing these songs to understand myself. Along the way, I discovered each animal carried an element, a direction, a guardian. This album is a conversation with my inner child. It is also an invocation. A ritual in audio form.
Coyote (Part 1) — East, Air, Guide.
Porcupine — South, Fire, Protector.
Seahorse — West, Water, Healer.
Skunk — North, Earth, Boundary.
Coyote (Part 2) — Center, Spirit, The Whole.
They stand on their own as conversations with the parts of me that need to be heard. But underneath the music, there are layers. These animals correspond to the four directions, the four elements, and the archangels I invoke in my daily practice. They have become the guardians at the quarters of my ritual space.
This album is rooted in the LBRP, the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. But you do not need to know that to feel the protection in these songs. You do not need to understand the correspondences to hear Coyote guide you through the dark or Skunk tell you to spray without apology.
The layers are there for those who want to dig deeper. For everyone else, they are just songs with animals and honest words.
I am still learning. I am still writing. I am still becoming.
Thank you for looking.

Skunk
Skunk takes up space. The one who stomps the shame and sprays the boundary. This song is the refusal to shrink. The apology for existing falls away. The self hate is the old story, not the truth. Skunk marks the territory and says this far, no further. The ground remembers who stands here. The right to exist is sacred. This space is mine.
Porcupine
Porcupine protects the soft place. The one with thirty thousand quills and a heart that still wants to be held. This song speaks to the fear of hurting others, the guilt after the sharp word, and the courage of the soft underbelly. The cheetah got too close. The cheetah ignored the warning. The cheetah hurt itself.
Coyote (Part 1)
Coyote walks the edge of the dark. He collects the unspoken cries and learns the way by going the wrong way first. He has been hunter and hunted, left for dead and risen again. This song is a conversation with the shadow. A reminder that the breaking is the making and the falling is the finding. Let him guide me through the dark. The moon will light the way.
