I wrote these songs while thinking about how familiar my own limitations can become. How I can want something so badly, see it right in front of me, and still find myself waiting for tomorrow.
Across these three songs, I explore that hesitation, the feelings that come with it, and the small ways I practice staying present with myself. I turn to ritual, to the animals I've come to love, and to Crow, the little witness who keeps showing up in my music.
By the final song, I'm imagining a different kind of companionship. One that makes room for fear, anger, shame, and all the unfinished parts of me.
I Love You More Than Every Feather on Every Crow is a sister song to Mother Crow, and an extension of the reassurance I've explored in Mirror Mirror Off the Wall. A lot of these songs come from words I wish I'd heard growing up, or the way I long to be spoken to when I'm struggling. Sometimes I'm writing from the person I am, and sometimes from the person I'm hoping to become.
I'm still learning how to soften with myself. Some days it comes easier than others. I can recognize my own fear, understand where it comes from, and still find myself being terribly hard on the person feeling it. So I write the gentler words. I make songs out of them and play them on repeat, hoping the little girl in me gets to hear something different.
I hope these songs offer some of the same comfort I've been searching for while writing them. A little company for the difficult days, and a reminder that even the parts of me I'm still learning to love deserve a place beside me.

I Love You More Than Every Feather on Every Crow
Crow In A Cage
Wanting to change while finding comfort in the familiar, even when that familiarity hurts. I know the cage so well that I sometimes pull my wings back before I even try to fly. I explore the loneliness, frustration, and fear of staying where I am, and the promises I keep making to myself about tomorrow.
At My Center, Crow
My personal magick ritual of protection, set to music. Inspired by the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (LBRP), I've adapted it with English invocations, elemental symbolism, and my spirit ANYMALS in place of the traditional archangels. For me this ritual is a way to create a sense of safety, gather my scattered thoughts, and return to myself when everything feels overwhelming.
I Love You More Than Every Feather on Every Crow
This is a sister song to Mother Crow, and another attempt to give myself the reassurance I'm still learning to believe. I write these words from the love I needed growing up, the tenderness I long for, and the way I hope to speak to myself more often.
Some days I can offer that kindness easily. Other days, I struggle to believe a word of it. So I turn those words into music and play them on repeat, hoping the little girl in me hears them. I hope this song offers some of the same comfort and companionship I wanted Mother Crow to offer.
