(MMRP / ANYMALS Version)
[INTRO]
Some days,
I need somewhere to put
everything I'm feeling.
My shoulders are up
around my ears again.
My hands
are gripping nothing.
When the world gets loud,
I make a little room
for myself.
[INVOCATION]
Crown of Stars.
Root of Earth.
Hand of Creation.
Heart of Receiving.
I am the bridge
between Heaven and Earth.
I call the Light to me,
and I stand in its truth.
[VERSE 1]
I call the breath of beginnings.
Protect this space.
I call the flame of courage.
Protect this space.
I call the tides of truth.
Protect this space.
I call the bones of becoming.
Protect this space.
[PRE-CHORUS]
When my strength
begins to fade,
when the night
feels longer than me,
when I've given
all that I have,
I return to myself.
[CHORUS]
At my center,
Crow.
See the trembling.
Give it somewhere to rest.
At my center,
Crow.
The world keeps moving.
Stay here with me.
Crow.
I witness.
(I witness.)
[VERSE 2]
Before me,
Coyote.
When the way ahead disappears,
guide me.
Behind me,
Seahorse.
When the water rises in me,
steady me.
To my right,
Porcupine.
When my softness feels exposed,
protect me.
To my left,
Skunk.
When I want to disappear,
ground me.
Above and below,
Coyote.
When I'm tired of being brave,
carry me through.
At my center,
Crow.
When my feelings fill the room,
I witness.
[BRIDGE]
This is my circle.
Safe.
Sacred.
Sealed.
[CHORUS]
At my center,
Crow.
See the trembling.
Give it somewhere to rest.
At my center,
Crow.
The world keeps moving.
Stay here with me.
Crow.
I witness.
(I witness.)
[OUTRO]
Crown of Stars.
Root of Earth.
Hand of Creation.
Heart of Receiving.
I am the bridge
between Heaven and Earth.
I call the Light to me,
and I stand in its truth.
(At my center,
Crow,
I witness.)
At My Center, Crow is my personal magick ritual of protection, set to music. Inspired by the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (LBRP), I've adapted it with English invocations, elemental symbolism, and my spirit ANYMALS in place of the traditional archangels. For me this ritual is a way to create a sense of safety, gather my scattered thoughts, and return to myself when everything feels overwhelming.
