The Mess Was The Masterpiece | Loui Crow Lyric | Bubble-free stickers

from $5.00
"The mess was the masterpiece."

I wrote that line at the end of my album Mirror, Mirror Off The Wall, in the last song: "Thank you, thank you, thank you."
A way of saying that all of it: the rage, the depression, the false selves, the mirror work, the days I couldn't look, the days I finally could. It all matters.

The song is me thanking the part of me that almost gave up. Thanking the depression that showed me the ladder. The snake that taught me to soften. The venom that reminded me I was still alive. The boredom that bored me into moving.

I used to believe that if I could just get rid of the mess, I'd finally be okay. I thought healing meant becoming clean, polished, finished. But I've learned that the mess was never something to escape — it was something to make art from. The mess was the raw material. The mess was the compost. The mess was the masterpiece.

Louise Hay taught that we've been bullying ourselves for years, and that maybe we could try being kind instead. But I couldn't get there right away. I had to feel my anger first. I had to learn to look without flinching before I could speak. And in that process, I made a lot of mess — albums, journals, videos, tears, late nights, hard conversations. All of it. None of it was wasted.

This sticker is a small reminder of that. For the days when you feel like you're still in the middle of it, still unravelling, still making a mess. It's not a flaw. It's the work. It's the process. It's the art becoming visible.

And honestly? You don't need my sticker. You just need the reminder. Whether it's a scrap of paper on your mirror or a thought you hold onto in a hard moment — what matters is that you see the mess differently. I thought this one turned out nice, so I put it out there in case someone else needed the reminder too.

Thank you for looking. Thank you for trusting the mess.
