Feeling fragile.

That is from "I'm Glass." A song about the days I feel like I could shatter. The days I forget how to hold myself. The days I wonder if anyone sees me or just the shape I throw. I wrote that song because I needed to say out loud: I am not asking to be fixed. I just want to be seen. Even if only by me.
Looking brings the past too near.

That is from "Avoiding Mirrors." The song I wrote before I could look. The days I brushed my teeth with my eyes down. The days I canceled plans and did not answer texts. The days the mirror showed me a world that never worked out for me. That song is the before. The one I had to write to get to the after.
The mirror hissed first.

That is from a song by the same name. The one about the snake in the glass. The one where I realized the hiss I feared was my own voice. The squeeze was a teacher. The coil was a signal to soften. The snake was never the enemy. When I befriend the reflection, wellbeing lands.

They say it is crazy when I kiss my face. That is okay. I like healing in public space.

That line is from "FLINCH." A song from my first album GORGEOUS. The scream. The one I wrote before I could look in the mirror. The song starts with a comment someone left on a mirror livestream: "Please consider a self-inflicted gunshot."
For as long as I can remember, since I was a kid, I didn’t want to be alive.
When you have lived in depression for years, it becomes your baseline. It is not even a feeling anymore. It is just the weather. You do not notice it until it lifts.
And then one day I looked back and I realized I had not wanted to disappear in a while.
But the memory of that wanting never fully leaves. It lives in my body. It lives in my cells. It lives in the way my shoulders brace when someone raises their voice. It lives in the way my jaw tightens when I am holding words back. It lives in the flinch.
When I got that comment, it did not make me want to die. It stirred the old feeling. It reminded me how I used to respond to conflict. By wanting to disappear. By wanting to erase myself so I would not have to feel the shame of being seen.
But I flinched. And flinching means I am still alive.
That is what the song is about. Not wanting to die in the present. Remembering a place I used to live and realizing I am not there anymore.
I never wanted to live. But I am glad I did.
I am still flinching. I am still rising. I am still healing in public.
I show the flinch so someone else can see it is possible to rise.

These pins are a collection of that journey.
From the days I could not look. To the days I started to try. To the days I flinched and rose. To the days I kissed my own face in front of strangers and called it healing.
I do not need you to buy these pins, they are just a way to carry the words with you if you want them.
I just wanted to put the words out there. I wanted someone scrolling to read "feeling fragile" and feel less alone. I wanted someone to read "the mirror hissed first" and realize the snake is not the enemy. I wanted someone to read "I like healing in public space" and think: maybe I can do that too.
That is the real hope.
Thank you for looking. Thank you for being here.
