That line is from my adaptation of the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. I call it (and the song) the Mom Magick Ritual of Protection. It is the same structure, just translated into English and made simpler. I needed to feel it in my body, not just recite it in a language I did not fully understand.
In the ritual, the crow is the one who circles what matters. It is the part of me that sees clearly, that does not flinch at the hard things, that stays present and watches. Crows are loyal. They remember faces. They hold funerals for their dead. They do not pretend grief is not there. They are witnesses and protectors.
The crow is the part of me that knows my own boundaries. It knows when something needs guarding and when it is safe to let go. It circles what is worth protecting: my energy, my space, my peace.
I do this ritual because I tend to dissociate. I float away from myself. This brings me back. It is somatic, moving meditation. It grounds me in my body and clears my mind.
I am not a teacher. I am just practicing. I share this in case anyone else is curious.
